Job Description:

·       We are looking for an experienced Mainframe QA Consultant to support healthcare applications for a contract engagement in Cincinnati.

·       The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of mainframe-based systems that support healthcare operations, claims, eligibility, and member data.

·       Key Responsibilities:

·       Perform manual testing of Mainframe healthcare applications

·       Analyze healthcare business requirements and translate them into test cases and test scenarios

·       Execute functional, system, regression, and UAT testing

·       Validate batch processing, online transactions, and data feeds

·       Perform data validation using DB2 and SQL

·       Test claims processing, eligibility, enrollment, provider, and member data

·       Validate HIPAA-compliant data handling

·       Identify, log, and track defects through resolution

·       Work closely with developers, business analysts, and healthcare SMEs

·       Prepare test execution reports and defect metrics

 

Required Skills:

·       5+ years of Mainframe QA / Testing experience

·       Strong hands-on experience with:

·       COBOL, JCL

·       CICS

·       VSAM

·       DB2

·       Experience in Healthcare domain (Claims, Enrollment, Eligibility, Provider, Member systems)

·       Strong SQL skills for data validation

·       Experience with batch and online testing

·       Familiarity with HIPAA regulations

·       Experience working in Agile or Waterfall environments

·       Experience with tools like ALM / Quality Center / JIRA
