Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle and SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of Oracle and SQL Server databases. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
  • Ensure database security by implementing appropriate measures and conducting regular audits.
  • Perform database backup and recovery operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Develop and implement database maintenance plans.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide support for database-related incidents and service requests.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Oracle and SQL Server DBA.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database architecture and administration.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with database backup and recovery procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate.
  • Experience with cloud-based database solutions.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
